Pensive

-

I see you stare into the nothing, lost in thought.

Your bored eyes wonder among crowds of need.

Scouring between old and recent reflections,

trying to remember what it is you wanted.

You sheathe your pain behind a cloud of shyness.

Your demure ways excite the muse in me.

Just as an artist catches a glimpse of something endear to him and creates such beautiful visions on canvas,

imbued with the Glory of Adonis, you,

you inspire me.

All I need is to see you in one of your many moods,

the emotions to flow and my hand to transfer them.

...I voyage the vast cosmos of time,

desiring an encounter with you,

Elite one.

Unknown as I am to you,

curiosity is the aid in my intent.

I do not want to know your every thought, just to implant one:

your need for me.

I don't seek eternal love from you heart, just to be near it.

The void I do not wish to fill,

for such a task would be impossible,

but a companion to cherish you I'm willing to be.

The fearful idea of you never knowing

what it is that I have to offer you,

thrashes my already bludgeoned heart

inside this weary body.

Endless drops of imbrued tears flow from my expressionless eyes and cannot cease;

they heavily flood my frightened soul.

Back and forth I sway between feelings

of woe and helplessness.

Bound with impotence I fear for my independence.

I so dearly want to meet you, but such is my luck,

that tragedy is sure to follow if something beautiful was to develop.

I was once offered two choices:

Pensive Cont.’
an eternal life of joy without you or imminent death with the hopes of you;

I chose you!

Submerged beneath falling waters of

suffering, agony and torment,

grasping for air,

losing miserable life every second that I'm not with you.

I have nothing to look forward to anymore.

Once I've shed my last tear,

it will be due to your response.

Joy or death will cease my eyes from grieving.

I shan't continue in the bleak world any longer,

but I do not want to die without you

when the end presents itself.
